We can move forward through adversity and towards our goals if we are disciplined in our game plan. But there is one key element that binds all this together: Love. Nothing good or lasting can be accomplished without love. As I look at events unfolding in my state and around the U.S.—and even around the world—it seems as though we have forgotten how to love one another. But I would argue that we cannot love others when we do not love ourselves.”
