In Mindset: A Journey, released in January 2025, Mario A. Bayne writes about his own journey towards a positive personal mindset by first addressing “Why your mindset matters,” and how intentional thinking is crucial to reaching our mindset goals. Each subsequent chapter explores the themes of circumstances, adversity, attitude, conduct, choices, discipline, and game plan, and how each has played a role in shaping Bayne’s life.

At the conclusion of the book, Bayne says, “Sometimes in life, our circumstances create adversity. How we handle that adversity depends on our attitude, conduct, and the choices we make. We can move forward through adversity and towards our goals if we are disciplined in our game plan. But there is one key element that binds all this together: Love. Nothing good or lasting can be accomplished without love. As I look at events unfolding in my state and around the U.S.—and even around the world—it seems as though we have forgotten how to love one another. But I would argue that we cannot love others when we do not love ourselves.”
